To
commemorate Ferruccio Lamborghini's 100th birthday, Lamborghini released a
limited-edition supercar based on the Aventador. 40 examples (20 coupes
and 20 roadsters) were produced, all of which have been sold out. Contrary
to the rest of Lamborghini's lineup, the Centenario's design was
rumored to be "not as extreme" compared to other wedge-shaped
supercars.Power comes from a tuned version of the Aventador's 6.5-liter V12
producing 759 hp (770 PS), a hybrid powertrain is possible. The car,
which costs just under €2,200,000, was unveiled at the March 2016 Geneva Motor
Show.

Production
The first 1,000
Aventadors were built in 15 months.
As of 7 June 2013, the
2000th Aventador, an Aventador LP 700-4 with Nero Nemesis (matte black) body
colour, was built and destined for the United States owner Thaddeus Arroyo,
Chief Information Officer of AT&T.
